ITC SEMINARS: where we practice not just dentistry, but good health.
I want to discuss the crucial importance of health, both mental and physical. Before I came to the United States I was among the top 5 triathletes in Venezuela. I was in the best shape of my life, and felt better than ever. After I started my own practice I became tired and unmotivated. I got busy and had less time and energy to invest in my health. It wasn’t until I directed my seminars that I had an epiphany about the importance of one’s health.
The students that were attending my seminars were all highly professional and intelligent dentists, but for many, their physical health was impeding them from achieving ultimate success. Some of my students had weight problems caused by high amounts of stress. Many were in worst shape than me, yet I feared that I was going down that scary road. If it wasn’t for my high athletic performance in the past, I would probably be suffering from breathing problems, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Fortunately it is not too late for me, and it’s not to late for you either. Trust me, I know its tough starting to clean your diet, start working out, practice relaxation exercises, etc., especially with such a busy schedule like us dentists, but we have to do it! We must learn to work smarter, not harder. Lets not work to death, but to life.
Appreciate the fact that you still have the ability to make a change in your health and in your life.
